Back in March I did a post about making cards out of stamped images, die cuts, etc. leftover from making other cards. You can check it out HERE. We all have a pile of these items somewhere. Things that we cut out or stamped for something we were making but didn't end up using. Well, I've decided to make a series out of it. Once or twice a month I am going to go through my stash and create a card or two from these leftover items and feature it here on the blog. Today's card is a combination of leftovers from my Easter shaker cards, the Toadally Awesome birthday card, and my Toadally Awesome set of 4 bar cards.
My background piece came from Toadally Awesome Birthday which you can find the post on HERE. It was created with Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks and then cut with Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles.
The cute little kids are all from Lawn Fawn's Easter Party set and were leftover from my Easter Shaker Cards which you can find HERE.
I colored them all with Copic Markers and then die cut them. I think the flower girl is my favorite. I like that she can be used for more than just Easter. These stamps also go great with the Costume Party set.
I used the Mini Picture Frames die cuts from my Toadally Awesome card set I posted earlier this week HERE, but did not add the little hangers for these ones. I trimmed my characters to fit into each frame and laid out how I wanted them on the card. I also added some of their little accessories to front of each frame.
The only item I did not already have made were the sentiment strips. I cut the "wishing you a very happy" stamp into 2 pieces so that I could add a line of the sentiment to each frame. I heat embossed them in white on black cardstock and glued them to the front of the card. Finally I added some Nuvo Drops to the front and my card was finished.
During this series I'm sure there will be many "out of season" cards posted since I am only using leftover items. I hope you enjoy this series though and maybe feel inspired to create your own leftovers cards. Thanks for stopping by today! XO ~ Amy
