Lawn Fawn Valentines

February 4, 2018

Hello! Today I have some adorable cards for you featuring the Lawn Fawn Sweet Friends Stamp set. If you love adorable punny stamps you’re going to love this one. You can use these just as little sweet treats or you can add the cute little faces and arms and legs to turn them into characters. The sentiments are great and allow this set to be used for many occasions. another cute idea I had for it was to create a birthday card with a marching parade of sweet treats.

I also used some of the new release Lawn Fawn dies along with some of their older die sets. From the new release I used the Lacy Heart Stackables and the Outside In Stitched Heart Stackables dies. I also used the Large Stitched Rectangle and Large Cross Stitched Rectangle dies, which are staples in my collection. I also used the patterned paper and some of the sentiments from the Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit (if you're looking for a great Valentine card kit check this one out). The patterned paper is from Pebbles Inc. Forever My Always collection and it coordinated really great with these cards. This is a picture heavy post so lets get started.

To start I colored all of my images with Copic Markers and accented them with Spectrum Noir shimmer pen and white gel pen. I cut a ton of the hearts from both dies sets in 8 different colors (a bit excessive I know) because I wasn't sure  exactly what colors I wanted to use.

Up first are my little donut guys. I used the colors from their frosting to pick my other pieces. I used the aqua in both the background paper and the smaller hearts and then used the coral in the large center heart. I added white Nuvo Drops and combined sentiments from this set and another Lawn Fawn set to get it to say what I wanted. I glued my donut guys to the center heart and then popped it up with foam tape.

I kept my froyo card pretty simple, just the die cut hearts layered together, my little froyo guy and some strawberries. The background is cut with the Lawn Fawn Large Cross Stitched Rectangles and then I added my sentiment strip and some white Nuvo Drops. I used foam tape to pop up the heart and the sentiment strip.

Next up was my little s'mores. For this card I stamped the sentiment directly on to the background piece that I cut with the cross stitched rectangles and heat embossed it in black. The sentiment is a combination of one from the January Simon Says Stamp Card Kit and two from the Lawn Fawn set. I loved the "I need s'more" with the hugs and kisses and thought it would be cute for my husband for Valentines Day.

The little stamped hearts are from the Christmas Like No Otter set and I used the Nuvo Crystal Drops on them. I popped the heart piece with foam tape and added the white Nuvo drops to finish it up.

And last but not least I have my "flantastic friend" card. The "I Really Like You" sentiment is another one from the Simon Says Stamp card kit and it fit these stitched hearts perfectly.

I cut the background with the stitched rectangle dies added my hearts and popped the little flan with foam tape. I also popped the sentiment strip and then added the white Nuvo drops to finish it off.

I had so many of the heart die cuts left I also used them on the insides of the cards, but didn't get a picture of them. I hope you enjoyed these cute and punny cards and they inspire you to send "s'more" love to someone. Have questions? Just leave em in the comments or email me. Have a great week!! XO ~ Amy
