I was able to get my hands on some of the new Lawn Fawn products this week and I though I would share a couple of cards I made featuring them. Chari Moss made a cute little egg shaped card and I thought it would be even cuter as a shaker. I used the Easter Party stamp set along with Little Flowers Die, Outside In Easter Egg Stackable dies and the Easter Egg Frames dies to create these fun little shakers.
To make my card base I used a regular A2 sized card, positioned the largest of the Stackable dies so that the fold was just above where the top would cut and ran it through my die cut machine. The section that wasn't cut remains the fold for your card. Next I cut another of the largest eggs from blue patterned paper for my background and a strip of green patterned paper with the grassy border die and then the egg die so that everything would line up. I glued down the blue and then the green tot he front of the card. I colored my 3 little characters with Copic Markers and die cut them.
For my little flower girl I had seen a cute card by Jenn Shurkus with her popping out of the flower pot from the Little Flowers dies and wanted to recreate that in my shaker. I cut the flower pot pieces from brown cardstock and used Copics to shade them. I also cut clouds from the Spring Showers Die set. I stamped my sentiment onto the grass piece and then added all the other elements. I used the Easter Egg Frames die to cut 2 frames and the stackables diie to cut one from acetate. I glued the acetate between the 2 frames, added foam tape and sequins to my card and then adhered the window piece to finish it off.
The second card was the same process except I didn't use the clouds or the flower pot. I cut a banner from the Bannertastic set, but realized it was going to be too large for this card. So I trimmed it down and dove tailed the ends and stamped a sentiment on it. It gave the sentiment strip a nice curve instead of it being straight. I added the bunny and the chick to this one and also some glitter with the sequins. These are smaller cards, but they still turned out super cute. I hope you enjoyed today's post and I will see you again soon! XO ~ Amy
