Every fall the lovely ladies from La La Land Crafts put on an amazing retreat in the California Bay Area. I had heard wonderful things about it, but had never been..... until this year! My best crafty friend Hilda and I attended the 3 day event and let me say how utterly impressed I was. This retreat was so well organized and we had a great time.
When we arrived Friday we were greeted by Irina (the owner of La La Land Crafts), and our teachers Mindy, Elizabeth and Martha. I can not say enough about how kind, welcoming and talented these ladies are. Each day we received a box with 6 project kits in it. We had time to work on these between classes and in the evenings. everything we needed to complete the projects was provided and there were stamping and die cut stations set up for any stamps or dies we did not own. Below is a sampling of the project samples. I made sure to take pictures to reference at home for the ones we didn't complete.
We were treated to four classes over the weekend: a box class taught by Irina Friday, a box/mini album class by Martha and a travel journal by Mindy on Saturday and a mini album with waterfall pages by Elizabeth on Sunday. It had been some time since I had taken a class or attended any kind of retreat and while I consider myself a seasoned crafter it was a little overwhelming at first (kind of like power crafting lol). The class projects were amazing though. I finished the main parts of them, but had to color the images and such once I got them home. Below are pics of the completed box with mini albums taught by Martha. This was definitely my favorite class although all of them were great.
All and all it was an awesome weekend and we will be joining them again next year. If you have never checked out La La Land Crafts please do. They have great quality products and adorable images. They also have a club where you can get unreleased stamp sets and dies sent to you each month. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week! XO ~ Amy
